Can’t Buy Me Love (1987) THE SLOW CLAP

Cast Reunion (left to right): Eric Bruskotter, Gerardo “Rico Suave” Mejia, Cort McCown, (myself), Screenwriter Michael Swerdlick, Darcy DeMoss, Courtney Gains, Max Perlich
In February 2011, cast members of the 1987 romantic comedy CAN’T BUY ME LOVE reassembled for a reunion screening of the film. I had so much fun putting this event together and was thrilled to be amongst the cast and fans of this 80’s classic. In this clip, actor Eric Bruskotter aka “Big John” gives the audience a reprisal of his epic slow clap moment from the film, along with some humorous insight about playing it straight on shoot day.
Enjoy the original moment here (at 4:39):
(BABY SIN HALO) “Raising Hell” – Opening Credits
Baby Sin Halo with his own show? Mommy (Rachel Federoff) and Daddy (Destin Pfaff) are honest to goodness special people and wonderful parents. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover and take a sneak peak at what could be the new American Gothic.

A Sin Is Born
Heeee’s heeerrreee! On the 27th of July, Destin and Rachel gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. The happy couple posed for a picture with family (LEFT) just minutes before Baby Sin’s highly anticipated arrival!
Weighing in at 8 pounds, 5 ounces, Sin Halo Jude Pfaff was born at 6:14pm. I was able to collect 6 hours of footage covering the frantic preparation, dramatic buildup, parental anticipation and ultimately, a very happy and special delivery. The whole experience was beyond incredible and I can’t wait to share it with you. So, will Sin grow up to be daddy’s little vampire? Will he take on mama’s rockabilly style? Only time will tell as we continue to document the birth of the new Adams’ Family in RAISING HELL.
“Speedy Delivery” Featured on PBS Conversations
Just recently, David Newell (aka Mr. McFeely) made an appearance on PBS Conversations to discuss his 41 years of service on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood and “SPEEDY DELIVERY.” Check out the media section to see a clip of David talking about what it was like to be the subject of his own documentary.
